Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club is a Family Friendly golf club and we pride ourselves on the warm welcome given to all our visitors, members and guests alike. Our beautiful well maintained course, with spectacular views, is a hidden gem and boasts a challenge to any level of golfer.
Nestled in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire and with a splendid backdrop of the rolling hills on one side and lush vales on the other, Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club is one of those parkland courses that is simply a pleasure to play. It is set in a richly agricultural area and offers superb views of the Hambleton Hills to the east and Wensleydale to the west.
Established in 1914 and extended from 9 holes to its present 18 holes in 1997, Thirsk & Northallerton offers a warm welcome to members, visitors, societies and corporate parties, and offers an exciting challenge to golfers of all ages and handicaps.
Situated close to both the A19 and A1, Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club is easily accessible from all directions.
Double success for Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club Juniors
Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club Juniors have recently won competitions on two successive days. On 22nd August they secured the John Hughes Cup and on 23rd August they triumphed in the Dorothy Calvert Trophy.
The competition for the John Hughes Cup was played against Easingwold, Richmond and Eaglescliffe golf clubs over four rounds, one at each club. The final round was played at Richmond on 22nd August with Thirsk & Northallerton winning the competition with an overall total of 572 points.
The Dorothy Calvert Trophy was achieved by reaching the finals of The Harrogate & District Union of Golf Clubs Junior Inter Club League, winning the semi-final on 23rd August at Masham against Rudding Park 7 – 3 and on the same day winning the final against Otley 10 – 0.
The juniors who played in some or all of the matches are Ben Collinson, Harry Collinson, Julia Czechowska, Richard Fawcett, Oliver Hartmann, Joe Hay, Rose Holmes, Izabella Knowles, Oscar Knowles, Joseph Mableson and Connor Stout.
